THE FOOD INDUSTRY WANTS YOU CONFUSED

THE FOOD INDUSTRY WANTS YOU CONFUSED

Despite what they may say, the food industry is not a health nugget. They are not a health orientated nutrition board sharing all the news about wellness. The food industry is a profitable industry run by powerful people. Who, more often than not, lie. But don’t get me wrong. I love money. Money is beneficial. But, they lie to keep industries alive and to keep money flowing. It seems their income is more important than people thriving.

We’ve seen the evidence many times in history. It continues to happen till this day. I no longer trust the words of advertisements. The funded web of lies they feed us in order to better the reputation of profitable industries.

In Denmark 5 years ago, the Fat Tax was introduced. But, after only 15 months it was completely abolished due to instense pressure from farming and food companies.

Mainstream media also threw in their 2 cents. Buzzfeed posted an article essentially telling people not to worry about cancer and it’s connection to processed and red meats. Meanwhile, here’s what the experts at WHO were saying.

EACH 50 GRAM PORTION OF PROCESSED MEAT EATEN DAILY INCREASES THE RISK OF COLORECTAL CANCER BY 18%

This should have been an easy call to minimise meat consumption. But media insisted that it is bad, but not as bad as meth. “So, wakey wakey eggs and bacey.”

Before you ask, nope, I’m no doctor. But I don’t have to be to read studies written by medical doctors, phsyicians and knowledgable achievers.

This is so true and sad at the same time, money will always be more important than people’s health for those big industries. That’s why we need to keep ourselves informed!
